By March 23, 2017CFM News

Seaside Seabird Sanctuary welcomes the community to join them on March 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for their grand opening celebration. The event will include a meet and greet with the Sanctuary’s avian ambassadors, staff and volunteers and a chance to check out the daily Pelican hand feeding.

“We are excited to welcome the community to Seaside to meet our team, hear about all the improvements and outreach they are undertaking, and to celebrate our renewed mission to save the seabirds,” said Andrew von Gontard, president of Seaside Seabird Sanctuary.

The event will feature a ribbon cutting with the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce and a chance to win some great prizes in a raffle to raise money to help the mission. Visitors will also get the chance to meet 10-year-old Charlie Parker, the young author and illustrator of “Charlie’s Shore Pals,” which was inspired by his visits to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary.

Seaside relies 100 percent on charitable contributions to maintain operations.
