Freedom Boat Club to host free movie night on the water for boaters

Freedom Boat Club is sponsoring a family-friendly movie night on the water on Saturday, April 8. Boaters are invited to participate in the free Flick-N-Float “Boat-In” at Metro Park Marina, beginning at 8:30 p.m. The event is open to everyone on a first come, first served basis.  Reservations are not required.

The movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” will be shown on a big blowup screen. Free popcorn will be available. This is the second year in a row that Freedom Boat Club has sponsored a free movie night at the marina.      

For those interested in coming early for dinner, a dock-and-dine event is also being organized for boaters. Anyone interested in participating should email Freedom Boat Club CEO Lisa Almeida at lalmeida@freedomboatclub.com.     

“This year we are encouraging boaters to spend the night, and participate in the Blessing of the Fleet the next day,” Almeida said. Blessing of the fleet will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9.
