Account Manager (AM)

Job Objective:

 

This position is responsible for maintaining relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential Company accounts. Account Managers should target potential clients and develops relationships in order to acquire new accounts. Requires experience in the field or in a related area with a high volume of sales. Must obtain expert knowledge of company’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Employee must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Employee will be expected to perform a variety of tasks to accomplish clients’ needs and to lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

General Job Responsibilities:

  • Employee’s primary responsibilities will be generating revenue for the Client Focused Media, INC. & Jaxbars.com, LLC. and all of its entities, as well as maintaining current revenue.

  • Employee will be responsible for servicing and securing mutually beneficial relationships with various local businesses, agencies, or individuals that have a desire to reach Company’s audience through the media opportunity offered by Company.

  • Employee will be responsible for generating new revenue for the Company by sales, as well as maintaining current revenue.  Employee will be accountable for all aspects of Employee’s account list including sales, service, internal, and external communications as well as collections owed to Company.

  • Employee will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies of the Company and carrying out several tasks to facilitate marketing campaigns.

  • Employee’s other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Oversee and/or develop sales presentations and marketing materials;

    • Assist in all areas to work together as a team with Employee’s counterparts to ensure that the company is maximizing all marketing sales opportunities;

    • Assist in the development of sales tools, presentation materials such as case studies, or other such vehicles deemed necessary by management;

    • Assist in the design of copy for advertisements and design concepts;

    • Performing other related duties as may be assigned by Employee’s manager(s) and company staff.

  • Maintain own and team’s budget and be accountable for expenditures.

  • Delegate responsibility to appropriate staff to ensure that the day-to-day functions and assigned projects are carried out.

  • Manage and maintain workflow of staff who are responsible for specific tasks, assignments, programs & events to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned work, project expectations.

  • Identify potential sales and marketing opportunities for clients.

  • Employee is responsible for learning and proficiently using CFM’s project management software.

  • Employee is responsible for learning internal process, procedure and company ideology.

  • Employee is expected to learn and consistently execute all company branding standards, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Employee is required to participate in company promotional events.

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Track all time spent on any work for internal purposes and clients in ProWorkFlow.

  • Task / Project coordination between client, team and staff and ensure fulfillment.

  • Work to increase and exceed team sales goals.

  • Coordinate all resources of the agency as it pertains to client needs and ensure full client fulfillment.

  • Communicate across all agency departments and staff.

  • Coordinative scheduling and management of client promotions to ensure client satisfaction and project completion.

  • Report / Presentation planning strategy and build for clients.

  • Collect, organize and maintain files, documents, logs and client/project/campaign info (contracts, buys, orders, schedules, etc.)Responsible for ensuring quality and accuracy of proposals, collateral, design projects, media spots and other projects by creating, copywriting and proofreading for errors.

  • Responsible for all communication with client’s and coordinating the communication between all team members and client’s. AE’s are the main point of contact at the agency for their accounts.

  • Act as a strategic liaison between vendors, clients, media companies and agency.

  • Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential marketing accounts.

  • Target potential clients and develop relationships in order to acquire new accounts.

  • Support new business development and take creative lead in pitch process.

  • Manage creative on multiple accounts from strategic conception through production.

  • Maintain client budgets and coordinate budgets with departments as needed to execute client projects.

  • Present and sell all work to clients. Develop strategic business platforms with account and production teams.

  • Shape the creative vision for clients/projects and define and maintain visual/copy identities as defined by client’s brand.

  • Manage all team client accounts.

    • Assign out duties to all departments based on client needs.

    • Work with agency departments for client fulfillment.

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely execution of all team and client projects, managing allocated time and budget parameters.

  • Responsible for assigning all team and client work to team and staff members using PWF.  AE should allocate resources and define scope of work in a clear and concise way to ensure accurate and timely completion.

  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy for all work assigned by other team members for AE or team.

  • Manage team, client and internal workflow and oversee team sales goals.

  • Delegate work as needed to assistants for Company departments.

  • Responsible for development of media plans and working with Media Buyer to identify target audience and ideal media outlets. Should work with Company departments as needed for execution.

  • Work with Media Buyer to recommend media mix and frequency as appropriate to budget and objectives.

  • Assist Media Buyer as needed to negotiate, research, and advise on appropriate media.

  • Responsible for scheduling all yearly client meetings according to client’s retainer fee package, as well as any additional meetings throughout the year. AE is responsible for coordinating the attendance of any needed team members.

  • Supervise, lead, inspire and mentor your team.

  • Act as a mentor for incoming team Communication Specialist, Marketing Specialist, interns and other team members. Encourage all team members for success.

  • Assist management with process, procedure and administrative duties as requested.

  • Attend meetings as requested.

  • Take part in brainstorming sessions.

  • Regularly attend at least one networking activity on behalf of the company.

  • Serve on a nonprofit committee.

  • Participate in networking and volunteer activities as requested.
